School Meals

Meals, allergy information and milk provision

We are fortunate to be able to offer the children a daily freshly cooked hot meal. This is free for all children in Key Stage 1 and Foundation Year. Older children can choose to pay and also receive the hot meal, or bring their own packed lunch.

The menu we provide changes each term and gives your child a choice each day.

Choice and payment

All of our school meals are chosen and paid for via Parent Pay - a secure online platform for payment. All menu choices need to be made at least 24 hours in advance to allow the kitchen time to order and prepare.

Food Allergy and Intolerance

Individual care plans are created for pupils with food allergies. These document symptoms and adverse reactions, actions to be taken in an emergency, and emergency contact details. The Kitchen Manager and lunchtime supervisors are made aware of any food allergies/food intolerance and requests for special diets using the official form supplied by Caterlink (our catering partner).

Packed lunches

Children can also bring in a packed lunch if preferred. The school encourages parents and carers to provide children with packed lunches that promote healthy eating using the principles of the Balance of Good Health (BOGH). Get hints and tips on what your child’s lunchbox should contain as well as lots of easy-to-prepare ideas your children will love from the Change for Life website.
